Celebrate Peacham’s 250-Year Legacy
Peacham planned a rich series of events and activities to celebrate the 250th anniversary of both the nation and the settling of our town. Everybody pitched in! It was a community-wide festival, with the Historical Association, the Library, the Peacham Congregational Church and Meeting House, the Fire Department, and many, many enthusiastic volunteers working together to bring you all these programs. All events were free and open to the public.
The live events are all now completed, but please note the exhibition has been extended by popular demand, relocating to the Peacham Library until January 14, 2027.

- Opening Day for Historical House Exhibition, 11am – 4pm: Celebrating Peacham’s Legacy, Mapping our Settlement
The exhibit will display maps, historical documents, objects, and other materials tracing Peacham’s development from its initial settlement in 1776 through approximately 1810. Exhibition is on display through October 21, then continues at Peacham Library, beginning on October 28, through January 15, 2027. Reading delivered by three local high school students, - Revolutionary War Soldiers’ Ghost Walk at the Peacham Cemetery, 2:30pm
The ghost walk will feature portrayals of William Chamberlin, John Skeele, David Martin and Edward Clark, (played by Bruce Maclean, Bruce Westcott, Jim Minichiello, and Tim McKay respectively) four Revolutionary soldiers who played pivotal roles in Peacham’s early history.
In case of rain, Ghost Walk will be held at Peacham Congregational Church and Meetinghouse.
